Inspired and encouraged by local music greats, Joey has devoted his life to the study of music and music education. This journey started with guitar, piano, and voice lessons during his early years. Prior to college, Joey performed with a variety of bands, musical theatre productions, and contemporary music groups.

Joey’s passion continued to grow with every opportunity he was given, which led him to study Vocal and Instrumental Music Education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, WCU. During his years at WCU, Joey has been featured with multiple ensembles including the NYC Ziegfeld Society and Kenneth Symphony Children’s Chorus.

After graduating from WCU with a Bachelor of Music, Joey returned to Northeastern Pennsylvania and is now teaching music for Wyoming Valley West School District, giving private music instruction, and acting as Music Director for multiple theatres such as Act Out Theatre Group, Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, and the Scranton Cultural Center.
